QUALIFICATION OVERVIEW
The purpose of this qualification is to provide New Zealand businesses with people who have the general and specialised business knowledge and skills that can be applied in a range of operational roles. Graduates will benefit New Zealand businesses by contributing to the achievement of entities’ operational objectives, through the application of knowledge and skills, in an ethical manner, in a bi- and multi-cultural environment. In addition, graduates will have specialised knowledge and skills for application in operational roles in New Zealand businesses, depending on which strand is achieved.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- NCEA Level 2 or above; or
- Equivalent knowledge, life skills, work experience or study
International Students also require:
- IELTS 5.5 (academic) overall with no less than 5.0 in any band, or NZCEL 4 (Academic) or equivalent
BACHELOR OF APPLIED MANAGEMENT
3 YEARS FULL TIME
FEES: $17000 (YEAR 1)
QUALIFICATION OVERVIEW
You will develop business knowledge and expertise including a historical perspective of business development in New Zealand and an understanding necessary to implement sustainable business practices. You will gain an understanding of multicultural influences on business operation.
You will gain real-world experience through an internship during your study and you will also be part of a co-operative education project which will see you graduate work-ready and able to make an immediate contribution to the business environment.
You can choose to specialise in one of the following majors:
- Accounting
- Human Resources
- Operations & Production Management
- Project Management
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- New Zealand University Entrance; or
- Equivalent knowledge, life skills, work experience or study.
Evidence of literacy and numeracy will be required and have English language competence to undertake this programme which is taught and assessed in English. Any applicants whose first language is not English may be required to provide evidence of an overall IELTS (Academic) band score of 6.0 or greater (with no score below 5.5 in speaking, reading, writing and listening) or equivalent.

GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT

This graduate diploma is suited to people who need a qualification that focuses on human resource management and who already have a degree in another discipline.
Learn the formulas for developing successful employee-employer relations while gaining the skills essential for maintaining a satisfied and effective workforce. In this graduate diploma, you will learn and gain an understanding of human resource management practices and processes on organisational effectiveness.

Your project management expertise will align with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) as defined by the Project Management Institute. This internationally recognised standard will allow your expertise to be utilised across a range of contexts, both within the business field such as human resource management, sales and marketing, information communication technologies and other disciplines such as engineering. Content includes project management, business finance, operations management, advanced project management, resource integration management and an industry project.
